Deputy Premier John Barilaro, in company with Paul Toole, NSW Minister for Regional Roads and Transport visited the Emergency Operations Centre in Lithgow on Monday, meeting with RFS, Police, ADF and Council representatives before surveying the recovery process in Dagan and Clarence after the Bushfire Emergency.

“ The Deputy Premier and Paul Toole met with our emergency representatives at the Lithgow operations centre at 7.45am on Monday to acknowledge and thank them for their efforts in defending community and property in all areas of the Lithgow LGA and particularly acknowledged the work of our Emergency Committee and RFS volunteers” said Mayor Ray Thompson.

“The Deputy Premier particularly wanted to visit affected areas in Lithgow, and we were able to meet with ADF representatives on site at Dargan and Clarence to get a first hand appreciation of both the Damage sustained by residents and the recovery effort underway” said Deputy Mayor Steve Ring
