About the opportunity Isaac Regional Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced full time Manager Accounting Services to join our Corporate, Governance & Financial Services (CGFS) Directorate for a five (5) year fixed term contract. This position can be based in Clermont, Moranbah or Nebo and will be reporting to the Manager Financial Services, where you will work as a strategic partner with the Manager Financial Services to drive the strategic development and strength of the financial services function.

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, business or related field and demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a similar position are essential. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting systems in a similar or larger size organisation is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards, statutory financial reporting. Experience within a Local Government environment would be highly regarded. Experience in providing leadership and management of department functions and activities. High level interpersonal, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills are essential.Position Description
