A Community Recovery Assistance Point has been established in Bombala. On Thursday 6 February multiple disaster welfare agencies will be present for a second round of one-on-one consultations.

Multiple government agencies and non-government organisations will be available for one-on-one consultations to help with the recovery process. Internet, telephones and computers will be available for use.

Representatives from Snowy Monaro Regional Council, disaster welfare services, Red Cross and the Disaster Recovery Chaplain Network will be on hand to answer questions and help with grant applications.

Centrelink representatives will be present on Thursday from 10am to 2pm and then on Friday 7 February between 9am and 4.30pm.

On Friday, the Department of Human Services will bring their full mobile service centre to the Bombala Community Centre.

If you need information on what support is available through the Department of Human Services regarding Centrelink payments, assistance and Medicare questions, please come along. There will be no other agencies available on this day.

A Local Recovery Officer for the Bombala, Rockton and Delegate areas has commenced. Robin Guthrie will work alongside the Snowy Monaro’s Local Recovery Officer Andrea Forsyth. Robin will be based in the Bombala Community Centre and can be contacted on 1300 345 345.
