Council will be holding another Bushfire Community Recovery Meeting on Monday 17 February 2020 from 5.30pm to 7:30pm at Buxton Public School Hall, 31 Hassall Rd, Buxton NSW 2571. All members of the community are invited to attend. Residents from neighbouring villages in the Wingecarribee who were impacted by the Green Wattle Creek fire are also invited to attend.

For people who cannot attend the meeting, our intention is to live stream on Facebook, and a recording will be available on Council’s website.

Mayor, Matthew Deeth said: “Community Recovery Meetings are an important step in the recovery process”.

“This meeting is being held for the community to come together and listen to the needs and concerns of the people who have been impacted by the recent fires.”

Representatives from Council, the Office of Emergency Management and the RFS, local community organisations and other key agencies will be on hand to provide information regarding response and recovery to the bushfire situation and discuss steps to rebuild affected communities.

Council staff will also be on hand to talk about waste and clean up, infrastructure, rebuilding and funding assistance.
