There is a 30% chance of more rain Friday afternoon around the Mount Isa forecast district after a sunny morning. But that's it for rain with the Bureau of Meteorology saying Saturday will be sunny and Sunday will be hot and sunny. Hot and sunny conditions are predicted throughout the forecast period with maximum temperatures rising to 42 by Thursday.In the 24 hours to 9am Friday, Mount Isa received 21.8mm mostly falling between 2am and 3am. It follows 7.4mm in the gauge the day before. Camooweal copped 87.6mm on Thursday, making to 145.8mm for the month so far. Nomanton got 20.6mm on Thursday, Winton 26.8mm, Richmond 8.0mm, Hughenden 22.6mm but Julia Creek, Burketown and Cloncurry mostly missed out. Roads closed include all roads from Camooweal to the Gulf, Urandangi North and South Rd, Donohue Hwy, Doomadgee to the border, Burke and Will Roadhouse to Burketown, Normanton and Julia Creek, Boulia to Dajarra, Toolebuc Rd,Springvale Road, Prairie Muttaburra Road, Burke Developmental Road.
