Innovative guide to take business, events planning to the next level

Published on 07 February 2020

Mildura Rural City Council is spearheading a bold initiative that will easily provide those interested in hosting large-scale business events, conferences and meetings in our region with the vital information they need.

The 2020/21 Mildura Business Events Planners Guide is currently in production, with local businesses being invited to be featured free of charge.

The full-colour publication will highlight why our region is the ideal destination to host conferences, business events and corporate retreats, allowing the community to take full advantage of this growing multimillion dollar industry.

It will act as a go-to guide detailing local venues, catering and support services specifically targeted at the business event market, and will be available in E-book format on the Council, Visit Mildura and Business Event Victoria websites.

Limited print copies will also be distributed at key events, with the Guide to be widely available from 1 July 2020, and will circulate for a 12-month period.

Councillor for Economic Development and Tourism Mark Eckel encouraged local businesses to take full advantage of the initiative.

“It’s important that local venue owners, caterers and support services supply their details and support the Mildura Business Events Planners Guide, and it’s important to note that there is no cost involved on their part,” he said.

“Through this Guide, event organisers and businesses will have easy access to key information and contacts, all in the one place.

“The Guide will go a long way in showcasing the diversity of venues, services and facilities we have available, and will help attract landmark events and conferences to our region.”
