A suite of new online services is making it easier for people to engage and do business with Council.
The new platform on Council’s website has a range of online service options including request a service, make secure payments and lodge a development application.
A customised feature enables people to get the real-time status of their enquiry as well as track its progress.
Mayor Bim Lange said the upgrade was part of Council’s commitment to improving customer service and being accessible 24-7 for people leading busy lives.
“We realise people no longer do business between the hours of 9 and 5, and a device is often the quickest and easiest way to complete a transaction,” he said.
“We’re genuinely committed to making our services streamlined, efficient and customised to people’s needs.”
People who register for online services will have access to a user-friendly and intuitive interface that’s simple to navigate.
“But for those people who appreciate a personal face-to-face service, we still have customer service officers available at all branch offices and over the phone to support customer enquiries,” said Mayor Lange.
