Mount Spurgeon Road, Mount Carbine

In the interest of public safety, Mt Spurgeon Road at Mt Carbine will only be open to local traffic during the wet season to prevent unnecessary damage to the road.

The road which provides access to the National Park and two privately owned properties is subject to severe erosion caused after rainfall and Council has restricted access to traffic to preserve access for residents.

Council undertakes a yearly maintenance grade on the road however this is not sufficient to keep the road in a safe and trafficable condition during the wet season.
