All unsealed roads within Lachlan Shire have been closed to vehicles over three (3) tonne until 10.00am Thursday 13 February 2020, when the condition of the roads will be reviewed. Unless advised otherwise, roads will be reopened to all traffic after that time. School buses, Council road repair plant and Emergency Services are exempted, subject to normal risk assessment.
Due to fast running water the following roads are closed: - SR11 Moira vale Road, Tigers Creek crossing closed - SR5 Lansdale Road, Bullbodney Creek crossing closed - MR461 Henry Parkes Way closed from end of the bitumen to SR50 Vermont Hill Road - SR 45 Boona Road is closed at Murda Creek before and after
- SR49 Myamley Road, Tigers Creek crossing closed
Please note that concessions are possible on request, for urgent transport activity on routes considered suitable to carry the proposed loading. Contact Lachlan Shire Council’s Infrastructure Services Department to discuss requirements for a concession.
Council regrets the inconvenience caused, however, the preservation of the road asset is of prime importance. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution when travelling in the wet weather.
Please avoid walking or driving through flood waters, it may be deeper and faster flowing than anticipated and/or the road may have suffered extensive damage hidden beneath the water.
