The first Burnie Ideas Forum for 2020 will take place at 7pm on Thursday 5 March at the Burnie RSL.
Burnie City Council Mayor Steve Kons said “the forums aim to give Burnie residents an opportunity to share their ideas with Burnie Councillors.”
“Residents will have 5 minutes to present their idea and then answer any questions from other participants and Councillors. Council will provide an initial response at the meeting which will be followed by further consideration.”
Ideas can be around one of the following topics:
• Programs
• Events
• Community facilities/parks and reserves
• Transport and safety
• Water and infrastructure
• Service delivery
The forum will be independently hosted and facilitated by Business Northwest, a division of the Burnie Chamber of Commerce.
Residents wanting to present at the Forum should contact Ian Jones from Business North West [email protected]
The forum will be held in an informal setting at the Burnie RSL at 36 Alexander Street.
