Council is encouraging residents to participate in the annual community satisfaction survey.
The independent survey is being conducted on behalf of councils across Victoria by National Field Surveys. Survey results are benchmarked against the statewide average of other municipalities and other large rural shires.
Council’s Chief Executive Officer Margot Stork said residents provide valuable information to Council through the confidential survey.
“We greatly value the views of our residents on a range of Council’s service areas as it’s important to know what we are doing well and where the community feels we can improve,” Ms Stork said.
The survey will run throughout February, with telephone interviews to be conducted with 400 residents in Macedon Ranges Shire. The survey includes initial qualifying questions to ensure that the individuals who participate in the survey provide results that represent the whole Macedon Ranges Shire community.
Eligible participants will be asked to rate Council’s overall performance and also provide feedback on specific areas such as community consultation, advocacy, customer service; and key service areas such as road maintenance, town planning, community development, environment, tourism, recreation, arts and libraries.
The survey results will be made available on Council’s website later this year.
