Level 4 water restrictions will remain in place for Eurobodalla residents and businesses.

Council says while there’s been significant rain, it will take months of pumping from the shire’s rivers to refill Deep Creek Dam, now sitting around 50 percent full.

Follow up rain will also be required to keep the river flows high enough for pumping for continue.

A spokesperson said Level 4 restrictions will therefore need to stay in place until the dam is at a higher level, and Council is satisfied rivers will continue flowing sufficiently to resupply the dam.

Level 4 restrictions apply only to outdoor water use, prohibiting use of hoses and sprinklers. Gardens can be watered using water cans filled at the tap. Cars can be washed with buckets only. For tips on saving water indoors, visit our water webpage.

Businesses impacted by level 4 water restrictions can contact Council to discuss a variation.
