Shire president Paul Gillett, with volunteer Marion Lofthouse
Council and staff recognised one of the Shire’s longest-serving volunteers at an afternoon tea this week.
Marion Lofthouse has been the caretaker of the Harvey Townhall since the hall’s committee came into existence in 1996. The committee raised funds to maintain the hall and improve the use of facilities for hall hirers.
Marion has also been involved in restoring the town’s history and showcasing a display at the Harvey Agricultural Society’s 100-year celebration last year.
Shire staff and Council thank Marion for her ongoing dedication and commitment to the Shire over the past 23 years.
