As much as 230mm fell in a matter of hours in some parts, the result of a slow-moving storm over the region.

While the immediate threat of heavy rainfall has passed, dozens of roads remain closed across the state’s southeast, while some major motorways, including the Warrego Highway and Sunshine Motorway, are facing heavy delays due to floodwaters.

Here are the current road closures as of Thursday morning.

• Burketown/Gregory: Beames Street, Doomadgee Road and Nadoo Burketown Road are closed due to flooding.

• Camooweal: Gregory Downs Camooweal Road is closed at Thornton Creek at the Yelvertoft Road intersection due to flooding.

• Glenarbon: Texas Yelarbon Road is closed at the Macintyre Brooke intersection due to flooding.

• Tanawha: Crosby Hill Road is closed due to flooding.

• Tallebudgera: Tallebudgera Connection Road is closed at Tallebudgera Creek Bridge due to flooding.

• Wrotham: Burke Developmental Road is closed at Walsh River Trimbles Crossing due to flooding.
