One of the biggest names in Australian music will be making their way to the Werribee City Centre this month to celebrate the completion of one of the biggest City shaping projects of the year.
Jessica Mauboy will headline the Wyndham Park Party on Saturday, 22 February 2020, as part of the free opening celebration that will also feature a live PJ Masks magic show, sausage sizzle, face painting, kids’ activities and giveaways.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Josh Gilligan, encouraged residents to head to the event.
“This opening party will be one for the whole family, and one of the first opportunities for people to check out the newly redeveloped Wyndham Park,” Cr Gilligan said.
“With a full program of fun for all ages, I know I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
“The redevelopment of Wyndham Park is a massive project, as we reactivate a big open space on the banks of the Werribee River. What better way to celebrate the new era for the park, than with a huge party?”
The $13 million Wyndham City project has delivered an adventure playground with a 12-metre tower, a nature play space, events lawn, seating, rest areas, toilets, barbecues, new pathways and boardwalks and more to the Werribee City Centre park.
The project was supported by the State Government with a $3.2 million grant.
Wyndham Park Party will be held on Saturday, 22nd February 2020 from 11am until 3pm. Enter via the Wyndham Park bridge in the Wedge Street Piazza on Watton Street.
