Wyndham City men, are you up for the ultimate fitness challenge?
Wyndham City Council is calling on all men aged 18 and over living or working in Melbourne’s West, to take up a 10-week program that takes a holistic approach to improving men’s health.
Wyndham City Council is partnering with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and Western Leisure Services to deliver the intensive workshop to Wyndham men, at Eagle Stadium.
Council’s Sports Development portfolio holder Cr Peter Maynard said Sons of the West was an invaluable program aimed to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of men in the West through a series of workshops, presentations, and events.
“Men of all fitness levels who are seeking to adopt a healthy lifestyle or meet new friends will benefit from the program,” Cr Maynard said.
“Sons of the West makes exercise and healthy eating fun and easily integrated into everyday life.”
“Another positive change men make in their lives following this program, is improved contact with health services.”
“Many past participants now make visiting doctors, dentists, or more specialised services such as counselling or physiotherapy, part of their regular wellness routine.”
“The two-hour weekly sessions are highly interactive and men who attend will get the chance to hear about a number of interesting and relevant topics that affect them and their families.”
“I encourage men who want to improve their physical and mental health to come along and take part in Sons of the West.”
Sons of the West program begins Tuesday 17th March and will run for 10 weeks.
