Walkers can enjoy the scenic surrounds of the Australian Botanic Garden, Mt Annan during this year’s Campbelltown City Challenge Walk.

Registrations are now open for individuals and teams to walk the 6km or 11km courses on Sunday 15 March.

“This popular annual event encourages people to think about a healthy lifestyle and promotes physical activity in a social environment,” said Mayor George Brticevic.

“The scenic walk is a great place to start your 2020 exercise regime and see Campbelltown from a view you may not have seen before,” Cr Brticevic said.

“This is one of my favourite events and I look forward to participating each year so I hope to see everyone there,” he said.

The walk is held in age categories as well as the five team categories of primary school, secondary school, corporate organisation, open (community group, association or club) and fitness (such as a gym or bootcamp).

Stroller and pram walkers and people with disability are encouraged to participate over either distance.

The pre-event entry fee is $12 and people can register online or in-person at the Campbelltown Civic Centre or Eagle Vale Central.

In-person registrations close on 28 February and online registrations close on Wednesday 11 March.

People can also register on the day at a cost of $24.

Line honours and category winners will receive trophies and awards. All entrants will be automatically entered into the barrel draw with prizes up for grabs as a reward for taking part.
