An extra session has been added to a program of workshops addressing transport needs in North Hobart’s primary retail and entertainment zone.
As part of the North Hobart Place Vision project, traders along Elizabeth Street and throughout North Hobart have been invited to contribute their thoughts and experiences.
North Hobart residents and others who visit the area for work or recreation have also been invited to participate via the community sessions.
The additional community Access and Parking workshop will be held this Wednesday 19 February at 5.30 pm. The Thursday evening session community is booked out.
Places are still available for the trader sessions on Thursday 20 February at 10 am, and Friday 21 February at 7.30 am.
Anyone wishing to attend either a community or business workshop is asked to register at yoursay.hobartcity.com.au/north-hobart-precinct or phone 03 6238 2100.
The Place Vision will identify actions and outcomes for the area based on what customers, visitors, residents and traders value about the precinct
As part of the project, a draft North Hobart Access and Parking Plan will be developed, with a prioritised focus on the Condell Place carpark.
It will address issues around parking, public transport and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, as well as the role ride-sharing and food delivery services play in the precinct.
A public survey is currently open for anyone who wishes to contribute to the project but is unable to attend the workshops. It can be completed via the City of Hobart’s Your Say website.
The project is expected to be completed in April 2020.
