Mildura Rural City Council has a three-month program of free Pop Up Outdoor Cinema screenings planned between now and the end of April.
Prompted by the popularity of last year’s Pop Up Outdoor Cinemas, an expanded series of screenings will provide Sunraysia families with plenty of entertainment on Saturday nights.
Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said the community had embraced the outdoor cinema concept.
“With our climate, and at this time of the year, outdoor cinemas are a fantastic way for families to enjoy a Saturday night movie in a community setting,” Cr Modica said.
The following movies will screened at Nowingi Place:
Saturday 22 February
The Incredibles (PG)
Saturday 7 March
Mary Poppins Returns (G)
There will be three more screenings on 28 March, 17 April and 24 April, which will be confirmed in coming weeks.
All screening events will be at Nowingi Place, starting at 8pm. Residents can bring their own picnic, picnic rug or chairs, or enjoy a snack from Bobby and Me.
Each event is drug, alcohol and glass-free.
