An all ages and abilities beach day is being held at Hampton Life Saving Club on Sunday 1 March supported by an Inclusion Grant from Bayside City Council.
One of the aims of the all abilities beach day is to encourage a broader range of people with differing abilities to enjoy the beach.
The beach is a big part of community life in Bayside, and it’s important that everyone has a chance to be part of it.
The All Abilities Day is for anyone with a disability, including those with age-related mobility issues who may not have had access to the sand or sea for some time.
Two beach wheelchairs and accessible beach matting to the water will be available to help people get back onto the beach.
