With over 200 activities in our 39 Council community centres, there has never been a better time to try something new!
Put on your dancing shoes and try out different styles including tap, ballet and line dancing or get your hips moving in belly dancing.
Unleash your inner artist with acrylics, watercolour and mixed media, pick up a needle and thread with patchwork and quilting or test out a new skill of ‘throwing’ with pottery classes.
You could even try something new while getting fit with classes in yoga, the Japanese martial art Kokikai Aikido, pilates, tai chi, Jazzercise and Zumba.
Parlez vous francais? You could with French classes in Avalon or if paella and flamenco is more to your taste, enjoy classes in Brookvale.
Take classes in how to choose and look after Bonsai plants or bust out your old racquet and get involved in a social badminton game.
Want to try something really different? How about hula hooping, unicycling or join a group of ukulele enthusiasts who get together to sing, strum and have fun!
There is something for all ages with plenty of classes for seniors and children too.
Our centres also host a number of community groups for people who may be looking for support for issues with alcohol, gambling or for those who have tragically lost a child. To see the full list of groups, read our 2020 program.
