Following the extreme weather over the last week which resulted in significant numbers of trees and power lines down, roads closed and damage to property, Council continues to support the community in the clean-up and recovery.
In less than a week we have attended to over 100 drainage jobs, 150 repairs to local roads, nearly 1,000 vegetation/tree issues, 35 geotechnical issues and attended to thousands of calls through our customer service centre.
Ausgrid continues to restore power to residents and in some cases we need to wait for them to make safe an area before we can go in and clear fallen trees.
