We are saddened to announce that due to the extreme weather experienced across the weekend and with the forecast for more rain today and throughout the week, the Rock Relief charity concert scheduled for next weekend has had to be cancelled.

All ticketholders will be fully refunded, including booking fee.

Like much of Sydney, Brookvale has experienced over 330mm of rain in the last few days, with the deluge across the Northern Beaches causing flooding, land slips, road closures and evacuations.

It is not safe in these conditions to continue with the complex set up required at Brookvale Oval for this event.

This decision has not been made lightly but we have to prioritise the safety of staff, contractors and the community.

We know there will be thousands of disappointed ticket holders and we want to thank them, and all our generous sponsors and suppliers, for their support both for this event, and for those in bushfire and drought affected communities.

A special thank you too to all the generous artists who so willingly volunteered to take part in this charity event.

Council remains committed to the ongoing support for communities impacted by bushfire and drought. We will continue to work with our community partners like WIRES, Northern Beaches Rural Fire Service, Rotary and the Royal Far West who offer respite to drought-affected families.
