Join us for morning tea to celebrate the launch of our community bag share in Berala.
Boomerang Bags are a simple way to reduce single use plastic bags in the environment and reduce waste overall.
During 2019, volunteers attended sewing bees at the Berala Community Centre and together created over 50 reusable shopping bags from repurposed materials. The handmade bags will now be available at the Berala Community Centre for residents to borrow and bring back whenever they forget their own reusable shopping bags.
Join us for a casual morning tea as we thank our volunteers and launch the bag share point. Learn ways that you, too, can contribute to waste avoidance and recycling.
This is part of the Cumberland Waste Avoidance project series.
