Fairfield City Open Libraries’ Workary is providing free, invaluable advice and support for residents who have a business idea, have just started their business or are looking to start a business.

The Workary, a dedicated co-working space for business development and innovation located in Council’s Whitlam Library, Cabramatta, is hosting ‘Business Connect’, one-on-one business advisory sessions nearly every day of the week to help start-ups.

Expert multilingual advisors can help with business plans, business legal structures and the next steps to see business succeed.

The service is available in four languages – Arabic (first Tuesday of the month), Cantonese and Mandarin (every Friday), English (every Wednesday) and Vietnamese (every Thursday).

The Workary is located on the first floor of Whitlam Library, 165 Railway Parade, Cabramatta.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said getting sound professional business advice at the beginning of your business journey could help lay a firm foundation for success.

“Council is proud to support small and micro local businesses. They are the backbone of our economy, accounting for about 98 per cent of the businesses in our City which has a gross regional product of more than $8 billion,” Mayor Carbone said.

“Council has made a big investment to bring you the Workary, which apart from business advice also gives people a space to work and access to resources.

“Most importantly you can meet others at the Workary, build a bond, share and unlock different types of ideas to help build a vision and then bring that vision to fruition.”

The initial Business Connect one-to-one session is free.

Sessions are:

Arabic: First Tuesday of the month 9.30-11.30am, noon-2pm, 2.30-4.30pm
