The City of Burnie has been informed of additional cruise ship visits being added to the season as cruise lines make alterations to upcoming itineraries.
The Seven Sea Mariner with be an additional call to Burnie next week on Wednesday 4 March.
Burnie City Council Mayor Steve Kons said “The addition of the Seven Sea Mariner will mean that the City will have a cruise ship docked every day for a 7 day period.
“The Queen Elizabeth has also added a call to Burnie on Saturday March 28.
“Circumstances around cruise ship visitation is continuing to change quickly and updates can be viewed on Burnie City Council’s website. The calendar will be updated as plans for any more new cruise ship arrivals are confirmed.
“Cruise Ship Communications Alerts are posted on Council’s website at least 1 one day prior to a Cruise Ship’s arrival. These updates include information such as the number of passengers, arrival and departure times and activities planned for the day. This assists local businesses, tourism operators and the general public to keep informed.”
