The bushfire crisis that gripped Australia in the latter half of 2019 through to 2020 has had a devastating impact on communities around Australia, none more than in Wollondilly and the Southern Highlands.
Mayor Matthew Deeth said: “Our community was heavily impacted by the bushfires so this is a great opportunity for everyone to come together to say a huge thankyou to all the firefighters and emergency services staff and volunteers who worked incredibly hard to protect our community.”
“All the money raised from this event will be distributed to our local RFS units, along with the local SES & Wires groups,” he said. There will be free entry to the event for local RFS, emergency services and their families. All children will be free and adult tickets will be $20 each. Tickets are on sale now, visit the Band Together 2020 website.
The festivities will run throughout the day with live music, food and beverage stalls, family amusement rides, market stalls and more. The main music concert will be on the expansive main stage from the afternoon right into the evening.
