Our next Bulky Waste pickup is scheduled for collection in the coming weeks, providing residents with a free and easy way to dispose of large items.
Remember: • For Moree townships and surrounding areas (Moree, Gurley, Gwydirville and Bendygleet), registration closes at 4.00pm this Friday 28 February 2020, for collection starting Monday 2 March 2020. • For Moree villages (Ashley, Biniguy, Boggabilla, Boomi, Garah, Mungindi, Pallamallawa, Vitonga Road, Weemelah and Yarraman), registration closes at 4.00pm Friday 6 March 2020 for collection starting Monday 9 March 2020.
This weekend, as you go about putting your bulky items out on the kerb for collection, please ensure your waste is separated into four piles; large items, general household waste, green waste and metals/ white goods/ e-waste:
Our Bulky Waste collection is the perfect opportunity to remove large waste which would otherwise require a trip to the waste management facility; this includes green waste from our recent storm activity.
Each registered household is allowed to place up to 3 cubic metres of waste on their kerb prior to their designated collection week.
You must register for the collection; items placed on the kerb without registration will not be collected.
For registered addresses, your waste must be put out for collection by no later than the Sunday evening prior to your collection week. (ie. For Moree and surrounds, by no later than the evening of Sunday 1 March)
Waste which does not meet these requirements will be treated as illegal dumping and you may be issued with an infringement notice.
