Wastewater Treatment Plant filtration replacement

Council has awarded SUEZ Pty Ltd the $1.7 million construct for the replacement of membranes at the Northern and Southern Wastewater Treatment Plants.

Installed in 2009 as part of the Cleaner Seas Alliance, replacement of these membranes is necessary to ensure the continued efficient performance of the Wastewater Treatment Plants and for Council to continue to meet its Department of Environment and Science environmental obligations.

Work on the replacement of the membranes is scheduled to be completed by 20 December 2020.
