Water restrictions have been relaxed in some Central Highlands communities following recent rain across the region.
Council assessed water storage levels in the Comet River weir, the lower Dawson River, Capella raw water dams and the Fairbairn Dam and deemed their increases enough to enable the changes.
Comet and Duaringa will go from level 2 down to level 0 restrictions. Capella will relax from level 1 to level 0. Emerald, Blackwater and Bluff will reduce from level 2 to level 1.For a detailed explanation on what each level means, head here.
Restrictions do not apply to alternative water sources used for external use, such as rainwater, grey water or private bores.
Restrictions also do not apply to properties with their own water allocations or water licences.
Council will continue to monitor the water storage levels in accordance with their water restriction guidelines.
