Bin collection and transfer stations during COVID-19

Bin collection services continue as normal. The Kyneton tip shop is closed until further notice. Transfer stations remain open, however cash will not be accepted. We are experiencing a large number of customers on the weekends so if you can, please visit on a weekday instead. If you do visit on the weekend please note that queues are a little longer than usual. Thank you for your understanding.

All libraries in the shire are closed until further notice. The eLibrary is still available to you 24/7 and has wonderful resources. You can also watch story times, holiday activities for kids and author talks online.

Changes to immunisation sessions

Council’s immunisation sessions are still running and session times have been extended with extra precautions in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

It is important that families continue with their immunisation schedule, however if you or your child are unwell (have a fever, cough and shortness of breath) or have travelled overseas in the last 14 days please do not attend a session.

Maternal and Child Health service changes

We will continue to provide MCH services to families, however alternative methods such as telephone calls may be used instead of face-to-face consultations. Appointments with parents of children under eight weeks of age or considered ‘at-risk’ will be prioritised. Group sessions will cease until further notice. Parents will be notified directly on how they may be affected by these service changes.
