Council’s Grant Finder makes finding funding easy

Mayor Andrew Willcox said the Whitsunday Regional Council Grant Finder portal provides a comprehensive list of grant and funding opportunities for all local businesses, community groups, not for profits and individuals.

“The Grant Finder boasts a search engine that connects you to local, state, federal and private grants - all from one easy-to-access location,” he said.

“This website will prove critical during the current COVID-19 pandemic and provide simple access for people searching for funding support.

“We have added a special emergency button on the home page of the portal to give direct access to COVID-19 Federal and State Governments funding and financial support packages.

“Council has worked hard to fast track the Grant Finder portal and I encourage everyone to explore the portal to see what assistance and funding opportunities are available.”

Mayor Willcox said the portal also assists with advice and top tips for finding and applying for grants to maximise the chances of receiving the funding needed.

“There are a lot of great funding opportunities out there, but the process of finding and applying for grants can be daunting and time consuming and many people don’t know where to start looking.

"Our Whitsunday Regional Council Grant Finder portal will take the guess work out of searching for grants and help groups and businesses easily navigate the process.

“This is a great tool to give our businesses and community groups a competitive advantage,” Mayor Willcox said.
