Residents and organisations are encouraged to have their say on Broken Hill's future at workshops to create the city's new Community Strategic Plan (CSP).
The CSP is a high level strategic plan informed by the community, and used by Council and other local organisations to chart a course for the city's future.
The community workshops will be held at the Civic Centre on March 5, with a morning session (8.45am) and an evening session (6pm) scheduled.
Mayor Darriea Turley AM said anyone with an interest in the city's future should attend.
"This isn't a Council plan, this plan is owned by the people of Broken Hill, so it's important that they shape its direction," said Mayor Turley.
"Think about what you'd like Broken Hill to look like in the next 20 years - what changes you'd like to see, or what you'd like to see stay the same.
"Everyone's opinion is valuable in this process."
Mayor Turley also encouraged local organisations to RSVP to attend targeted workshops that are being held on March 5 and 6.
"It's really critical that organisations provide feedback for their specific sector," she said.
"Getting information from people with expertise within their field will help ensure the CSP reflects the needs of industry."
The community workshops will be complemented by pop-up sessions around the community in late March, which will feature Council staff hosting stalls to collect feedback.
There will also be an online feedback form available online from March 30.
"There will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to have their say, so hopefully we get a good number of locals contributing."
