Attention young creatives! 

The City of Ballarat is launching its inaugural Young Creatives in Business program on Thursday 5 March at 4pm.

This free program, informed by youth voices, provides young people aged 12-25 with the skills, knowledge and networks to thrive as a creative entrepreneur, freelance artist or collective. 

A series of monthly workshops will assist aspiring creatives to: 

connect with experts in the field  be equipped with business basics to start up a creative enterprise  explore crowdfunding and grants programs  gain marketing and communication skills  sell art online and much more 

The program will begin on Thursday with the first workshop – IPhonography for Makers. Sarah Weston, Retail and Business Development Manager at Craft Victoria, will teach participants how to professionally photograph their artwork with minimal effort and cost.  

The 4.30-6pm workshop, held at the Art Gallery of Ballarat, is limited to 15 participants. To secure a free ticket and for more information on the workshop and the whole series, head to www.linktr.ee/ballaratyouthservices.  

The program is delivered in partnership with City of Ballarat’s Skill Up! Program and Youth Services, with funding provided by City of Ballarat and the Victorian Government's ENGAGE! Program as part of the Unique Message Makers (UMM) in Action. The program is supported by Regional Arts Victoria.
