Council is committed to keeping our community informed in relation to water discolouration in Clermont as new information becomes available.
Council staff are currently attending to calls relating to water discoloration present in areas of Clermont.
Senior council operators are in attendance at the Water Treatment Plant with additional technicians on route from within the region, providing additional assistance with monitoring and taking action to return water clarity to the network currently affected.
We were taking additional water samples across the network last night (Tuesday, 3 March) and this morning (Wednesday, 4 March) to ensure our water continues to meet drinking water standards.
We are aware the water was very discoloured at some locations last tonight (Tuesday, 3 March).
In ongoing efforts to manage and isolate the cause of discoloration of the water supply, a team of divers will be conducting underwater investigations onsite today (Wednesday, 4 March) in our storage reservoirs. The aim is to continue to eliminate any contributing factors in a thorough and methodical manner to reduce instances of discoloration.
We greatly appreciate calls to our 1300 ISAACS call centre advising of any visible changes. If discolouration continues please notify our Customer Service Centre, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
Council wishes to thank the public and the Clermont community for their ongoing patience.
