Each year, the Ballarat Begonia Festival’s long-term partner, Central Highlands Water creates an innovative and inviting centrepiece for the Festival and 2020 is no exception.

CHW has worked closely with local business, Findlay Engineering to custom develop and interactive water table.

The centrepiece represents the water cycle while also highlighting interesting water facts and water saving ideas.

“CHW is looking forward to engaging with the community at this year’s event. We invite the community to visit us on site and learn more about how we deliver safe, clean and quality water and how you can be water wise at home and work” Jacqueline O’Neill, CHW’s General Manager of Customer and Community, said.

Central Highlands Water will also showcase over 20 Insect Houses made by Ballarat kindergartens, schools and community groups. The houses, made out of natural and recycled materials, have entered in the annual CHW Begonia Festival art competition. Festival visitors can vote on their favourite house with the People’s Choice winner to be awarded a CHW drinking fountain.

The company’s popular ‘Choose Tap’ stainless steel drink bottles will be available at the Festival, in a bright new colour range. All proceeds go to local charity WRISC‐ Family Violence Support.

“Central Highlands Water is proud to partner with the City of Ballarat as the major community partner of the Ballarat Begonia Festival.  This has been a very successful 20‐year partnership and we are delighted to be involved in this award-winning festival, Ms ONeill said.
