From City of Ballarat Director Infrastructure and Environment Terry Demeo 

The City of Ballarat is currently undertaking the Building Local Law - Enforcement Program.  

This proactive enforcement program includes noise (hours of operation), mud, on roads, litter from construction sites, dust and the like.  

The effort to assist builders and developers to act in a neighbourly manner across our developing precincts will be focussed over March and April to ensure that the new residents of these precincts are not adversely affected by the significant construction and development that is ongoing.

The program covers the whole of the growth corridor, including Lucas and Ballarat West and also the smaller development fronts on our urban boundaries. 

 To date the City of Ballarat has issued a number of warnings, with some of these matters escalating to more formal proceedings. As is always the case, the City of Ballarat will exhaust all opportunities to achieve the appropriate result through education and information in the first instance.
