Public Exhibition – Draft Lithgow 2040 Local Strategic Planning Statement

At the ordinary meeting of council held 24th February 2020, Council resolved to publicly exhibit the Draft Lithgow 2040 Local Strategic Planning statement (LSPS) for a minimum of 35 days. The Draft LSPS outlines the vision for land use planning over the next twenty (20) years to 2040 along with a set of key planning priorities, principles and actions guide future land use decisions.

The draft LSP and supporting material are available for public viewing at the following locations: • Council’s website: http://www.haveyoursay.lithgow.com/imagine-lithgow-2040/ • Council Administration/Customer Service Centre 180 Mort St LITHGOW NSW 2790 Mon to Fri 8.15am-4.00pm; • Lithgow Library 157 Main St LITHGOW NSW 2790 Mon to Fri 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-12pm; • Wallerawang Library Main St WALLERAWANG NSW 2845 Tues-Wed 10am-1pm, 2pm-6pm, Thurs-Fri 2pm-6pm, Sat 9am-12pm; and • Portland Library 65 Williwa St PORTLAND NSW 2847 Tues-Wed 10am-1pm, 2pm-6pm, Thurs-Fri 2pm -6pm, Sat 9am-12pm.

Council will also be hosting drop-in sessions, attended by our Strategic Planning Team, for any person wanting further information or detail in relation to the draft LSPS at: Lithgow Town Library 11 March 2020 10am – 6pm Portland Town Library 18 March 2020 10am – 3pm Wallerawang Town Library 25 March 2020 10am – 3pm

The community is invited to make written submissions on the Draft LSPS by 4:30pm Thursday 9th April 2020. Submissions should be addressed to: General Manager Lithgow City Council PO Box 19 Lithgow 2790, or [email protected].

Following the exhibition period, the draft LSPS will be returned to Council for final adoption pending community consultation outcomes.
