Lithgow Animal Shelter will reopen on Monday 9th March 2020

Lithgow Animal Shelter will reopen after being temporarily closed due to an outbreak of Parvovirus.

The outbreak of Parvovirus that forced the temporary closure of the shelter has now been resolved.  Full cleaning and disinfection with anti-viral disinfectant has occurred.

Council will also be implementing additional cleaning and disinfection procedures aimed at reducing the risk of future outbreaks. Council apologies for any inconvenience to animal owners during this temporary closure.
