On Saturday April 4th Lithgow Youth Council will be celebrating the youth of the region with a Youth Week event. So get your creative juices flowing with a day of creative art workshops, live music and more.

The Lithgow Council’s Youth Advisory Committee has organised a fantastic range of local artists to run free workshops with the young people of our community including sketching, pop art, manga and street art. The workshops will run from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Then it’s time for local performing artists to hit the stage. Headlining the show is the local rock band Hollow Point. There’s still time for your up and coming band to get on the stage so call today and talk to Alisha on 0448 473 710 about booking your spot.

The day will take place at Tony Luchetti Sportsground in the Civic Ballroom. There will be workshops and live music, free food and a range of youth focused services and organisations on hand to have a yarn with. Come along and bring your mates for an awesome day.

Mayor Ray Thompson is keen to see the community participate; “This will be a great day for our young people. Across NSW every council is celebrating their young people and in Lithgow we want to provide a space for youth and children to express themselves and really celebrate the contribution that they make to all our lives and community”.
