Council wishes to advise residents of the temporary closure of the Emora Park playground, as a result of safety concerns.

Through a routine inspection of Council’s playgrounds and open space assets, Council has been made aware of some defects in the recently installed playground equipment at Emora Park, off Landa Street, Lithgow.

Lithgow Council conducts routine inspections of all playground assets, effecting repairs wherever required, and as soon as practicable. However, some repairs may require more than an easy fix to ensure they’re able to safely serve the needs of our community. In such circumstances, access must be temporarily restricted to ensure the safety of the public. In the case of Emora Park, it is expected that repairs will be undertaken and access restored to the facility by 13 March.

Council advises all residents to abide by any playground closures, for their own safety, and apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of the temporary closure.
