Keeping the kids entertained these Easter school holidays will be easy with Council again offering a huge variety of fun and educational activities through our Vacation Care program, available for children in Prep to Grade 6.
The April school holiday program runs from Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April 2020, between 8am and 6pm (except for weekends and public holidays).
For families requiring an all-day option, Council runs Vacation Care programs at Springfield Park in Croydon and Belmont Park in Croydon South.
Councillor Samantha Mazzuchelli said Council’s Vacation Care program was a high-quality, flexible and child-focused program that aimed to support busy working parents during the school holidays.
“As a parent, I know how challenging it can sometimes be to find ways to keep children occupied during the school holidays,” Cr Mazzuchelli said.
“Maroondah’s Vacation Care team prides itself on providing a program of recreational activities that are fun, interesting and stimulating. It means that children actually want to be there, and parents feel reassured that their children are in a secure and stimulating environment,” she said.
“Parents can book their child for one day or all nine days, which provides them with that important flexibility.”
Children will have a different exciting new adventure each visit with daily fun-filled activities that take place both on-site as well as on various excursions, all supervised by Council’s qualified and experienced Vacation Care staff.
These holidays we visit the new high-tech DreamCity with a look to careers of the future. From operating flight simulators, fighting virtual fires, performing a mock surgery and producing podcasts, children aged 5 to 12 will have an awesomely fun time and be inspired by the possibilities.
Superhero fans assemble, for an exciting excursion to Rod Laver Arena to see Marvel Universe LIVE! - a new action-packed arena show that unites 25 of your favourite Marvel superheroes and villains in a race against time!
