Council is replacing core IT infrastructure over the weekend of 14 and 15 March, which will result in all Council IT, phone and website services being unavailable from 8am Saturday.
This will include the Frankston City Council, Frankston Library and Frankston Arts Centre websites. The Visit Frankston and Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) websites will remain operational.
Residents will be able to lodge requests for services through the Snap Send Solve app and Council officers will monitor social media over the weekend.
Council will not be able to process online payments but members of the public can report urgent issues that cannot wait until Monday 16 March by calling the Council After Hours Phone Service on: 1300 322 322.
The Frankston Regional Recycling and Recovery Centre (FRRRC), PARC, libraries and Frankston Visitor Information Centre will be open but some services, such as public Wi-Fi and computer access may be affected.
The Frankston Arts Centre will remain open and tickets will be available for purchase via the centre’s Facebook page or by phoning: 9784 1051.
Frankston City Council Mayor, Sandra Mayer, said careful planning had taken place to minimise risks and ensure systems would be up and running by 8.30am Monday 16 March.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused, however the updated infrastructure will allow Council to provide more stable and secure IT systems for both our customers and the organisation,” Cr Mayer said.
