A decision has been made to reduce the size of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River’s senior executive leadership team. The decision will see the number of Director roles reduce from three to two, providing the Shire with an overall annual saving in excess of $200,000.   Shire Chief Executive Stephanie Addison-Brown said the change would provide a more sustainable staffing structure.   “ This change reflects the need to better manage increasingly tight budgets whilst ensuring that there are sufficient resources available to meet the ever growing demands on our services and infrastructure.   “The restructure recognises the valuable leadership and operational role that our Managers and Coordinators have in supporting the organisation as we deliver services to our community, and seeks to enhance their ability to be able to do this in a more cost effective and efficient manner.   “I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to both Dale Putland and Markus Botte for their service to the Shire and the community, and wish them both all the very best in their future endeavours,” she said.   The newly created Director’s role will be externally advertised shortly, providing an exciting opportunity for a dynamic executive leader wanting to contribute towards the local community.
