Come to the Gympie Regional Gallery on Wednesday 11 March from 6.30pm to 8.00pm at 39 Nash Street, Gympie, and join the panel discussion event ‘Force Majeure’.

The evening will feature a robust discussion about the greater strength of women in the arts and is in celebration of International Women's Day.

Panellists for the event include Dr. Janet Lee who has a Doctorate of Creative Arts from the University of the Sunshine Coast, and her manuscript ‘The Killing of Louisa’ won the emerging Queensland writer category in the 2017 Queensland Literary Awards.

Local comedian, writer, actor, poet and producer Anna Brennan will also be on the panel.

Anna runs regular comedy shows on the Sunshine Coast and has written and directed a one act play, Tinderella, which won the People’s Choice Award at Comedy Shorts and Stand Up at The Majestic Theatre in Pomona in September 2019.

The other guest panellist is former CEO of Metro Arts Liz Burcham, whose career has spanned the breadth of the creative industries from book and newspaper publishing, to digital media and the arts. As a producer she has stretched her skills from the Sydney Olympics to AFL, to independent performance works.
