DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL
NOTICE OF DESIGNATED DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL
PROPERTY: 6 John Street, MCMAHONS POINT
An amended application has been lodged with North Sydney Council for the following proposal:
To construct a floating dock facility to service commercial vessels up to 1000T in weight. The structure will be located on the south-western side of the site, both on land and at the land/water interface.
This proposal is both designated development and integrated development. The consent authority is the Sydney North Planning Panel.
Integrated approval bodies and approvals required:
1. NSW Environment Protection Authority
Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 – Environment Protection Authority (Section 43(b), 48 and 55).
2. NSW Department of Primary Industries
Fisheries Management Act 1977 – Fishing and Aquaculture (Section 201, 205)
3. Water Management Act 2000 – Office of Water (Section 90)

You may inspect the amended development application and the accompanying documents including the environmental impact statement between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted) at Council Chambers.
The application may also be inspected at the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s office and the Sydney North Planning Panel’s office, both located at 4 Parramatta Square, 12 Darcy Street, Parramatta, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted) during the advertising period.
Council’s website www.northsydney.nsw.gov.au/DAtracking (lookup DA 57/19) system provides access to plans showing external elements of the proposal and supporting documentation. An online submission form and additional information about Political Donations disclosure is also provided. Submissions must be made in writing, during the advertising period, and should be addressed to the General Manager, North Sydney Council.
Any person may make submissions in writing to North Sydney Council, during the advertising period. Submissions must be restricted to the subject development application, and not contain any defamatory statements or personal information. If you wish to object to the proposal, the grounds of objection must be given. All submissions will be formally acknowledged.
Unless the proposed development is development about which the Independent Planning Commission has conducted a public hearing, any person who makes a submission by way of objection and who is dissatisfied with the determination of the consent authority to grant development consent, may appeal to the Land and Environment Court. If the Independent Planning Commission conducts a public hearing, the Commission’s determination of the application is final and not subject to appeal.
Please note that once your submission is received by North Sydney Council, it becomes government information and the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requires Council to publish your submission online (Council’s website). If you wish to have your name and address removed from the submission before it is published online, please state this clearly in your submission.
