Come along to the biggest community picnic in town

11 March 2020

The Big Picnic is back for 2020 at Wachter Reserve in Keysborough.

Pack your hamper and a blanket and enjoy a country style community picnic with your family and friends.

This all-ages event offers something for the whole family, including your four-legged friends.

This year’s event will feature everything from circus acts, live music, roving wildlife displays and even animal yoga.

Council’s Animal Management Team will also be on hand to check your dog’s microchip and registration details are up to date.

In the Make Your Move Zone local sports clubs are hosting fun, free activities to get you moving. These include free tennis at Keysborough Tennis Club, country-style games with the YMCA and silent disco tours.

A free Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Parkmore Shopping Centre will ensure all the sweet tooths in our community enjoy their chocolate fix.

There will also be a selection of rides where all proceeds will be donated to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal. For those who don’t want to bring their own picnic there will be a delicious selection of food on offer including BBQ skewers, waffles or an ice cream.

In a bid to eliminate single use plastics everyone is encouraged to bring their own reusable drink bottles, utensils and shopping bags.

The Big Picnic will be held on Sunday, 29 March from 11am to 4pm.at Wachter Reserve, Kingsclere Avenue, Keysborough.
