Our Pipes are not for Wipes

With Coronavirus impacting on toilet paper stocks across Australia, Council would like to remind all residents and businesses that other items such as; baby wipes, paper towel or similar items are not suitable to flush down toilets. These types of products should only be disposed of in the rubbish.

Whilst many of these products are labelled “flushable”, these products do not break down and cause blockages with the network which result in overflows from Council’s sewerage network, and cause sewerage to surcharge within private property and in some instances within the house.
