UPDATE: Local Government Elecetions - Saturday 28th March, 2020

Local Government elections will be held across Queensland, Saturday 28th March, 2020.

Within the Isaac Region only two divisions are required to cast a vote - Division 2 (Dysart and surrounds) and Division 8 (Nebo and surrounds plus coastal areas). The other Divisions (1,3,4,5,6 and 7) and Mayor of Isaac Regional Council were uncontested with Councillors for these divisions and Mayor being returned. 

Do I need to vote?

Electors in Divisions 2 (Dysart and surrounds) and 8 (Nebo and surrounds plus coastal areas) ONLY, will need to vote for their Council representative (no vote required for Mayor). The maps showing Division 2 (Dysart and Surrounds) and Division 8 (Nebo and surrounds plus coastal areas) identify the localities within each of these two divisions required to vote.

Residents of Division 2 (Dysart and surrounds) need to visit the polling booth listed below or arrange for a postal vote. Location and opening times for Division 2 voting can be found below:

Residents of Division 8 (Nebo and surrounds plus coastal areas) will be postal votes ONLY. Residents will receive their ballot papers in the mail without the need to request postal ballots. There is no polling booth within Division 8. All postal ballots will be mailed directly to residents. Early Voting

Commencing Monday 23rd March, early voting is available at the Dysart Polling Booth, 16 Queen Elizabeth Dr, Dysart, QLD 4745 for the following dates and times:

Please note the Electoral Commission of Queensland advises postal vote applications will close at 07:00PM Monday, 16th March 2020.
