Better roads for Pennydale
Bayside City Council 18 Mar 2020

Jack Road in Cheltenham (Pennydale) will be reconstructed from 23 March until June 2020 (weather permitting). Road detours and traffic controllers will be in place.

The upgrade one of Council’s priority roads for reconstruction, part of an ongoing maintenance program to build better roads for Bayside.

Council is following the advice of the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services and Australian Department of Health and continues to deliver building and maintenance programs as planned.

These works have been coordinated to minimise clashes with the most significant Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) closures and to capitalise on the Easter school holiday period when there is reduced traffic congestion.

We are liaising closely with the LXRP to minimise the impact of the required works occurring at the same time.

During construction, on-street parking and vehicle access may be temporarily restricted. Pedestrian access and waste collection services will not be affected.

We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience during the works period.
